Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ and in Prayer,
How heart-breaking it was to see that river valley in Nepal so suddenly devastated last week, with the loss of thousands of lives and the destruction of of towns and villages, along with many of their businesses and surrounding farms. Please pray for the physical relief efforts and the spiritual salvation and healing of the many traumatized adults and children who narrowly survived. A good friend of mine in the international prayer movement for more than 20 years, Dhan Raj Ghimire, and his Karunacare organization are on-site caring for hundreds of survivors, providing three meals a day and keeping the children occupied with various activities. Dhan Raj writes from the afflicted valley today:
"Day 6 Update: Today, 311 people were served across our two temporary holding shelters, with 22 volunteers mobilized to support the response. Food, clothing, drinking water, sanitation, and other basic needs are being well maintained, and we are doing our very best to keep the shelters organized and provide a safe and caring environment for everyone.. Here in the USA, we are facing two rising threats-- that of the very Marxist/communist Democratic Socialists of America and the radical Islamists who are partnering in a Red-Green Alliance to "take over" the nation. Such intentions so boldly proclaimed are plainly a treasonous, national security threat!
Many adults, and especially young people, are ignorant of the history of communism and Islam, including the hundreds of millions slaughtered by those duped and controlled by these two truly satanic ideologies. Let's pray that they will wake-up and realize how horribly destructive it would be if either one of these currently popular movements were to take over our government and enslave this free nation, still made up of a majority of professing Christians. Our mid-term elections are in just two months and we need to see those politicians espousing these ideas, mainly on the radical Left, resoundingly repudiated and defeated. Please pray that the evil one who spawned and continues to foment these false and deceptive ideologies will be bound and that the massive millions still dominated by them will be set free by coming to know Jesus.
